Karttakone has produced a complete map series from whole Finland, to be used as background maps in applications in workstation, browser and mobile. Map series' include several scales and are available as raster and vector files in most common formats. In addition to basic version there are customized series e.g. for newspapers and other media use as well as for land use planning. In addition Karttakone has compiled a simplified world map series in Finnish & English.
Online Services
Karttakone Online Services introduce a new way to access and use geographic information. Clients log in to Karttakone's GIS data server from their own applications and use e.g. topographic database of Finland anytime, anywhere, smoothly without any delay. Data is always up-to-date and it saves clients expenses, time and effort.
Software Components
Karttakone imports and resells efficient software components for automation of map production, processing high quality cartographic products and online distribution of geographic information.
Map Production
With fully automated map production process Karttakone is able to produce effectively various map products for different customer needs - for example street and guide maps for all municipalities of Finland. For retail chains Karttakone has a product where all stores of the chain are presented on a suitable base map, with logos and other information. Karttakone is able to produce maps all the way to printed matter.
